They integrate IP of total solution on small optical module from

Very good strategy. From recent news, you can see Tessera licences IP to or sues other famous company.
By the way, very hot product of CMOS sensor technology: Back Illumination CMOS
Because such technology need special package to get such structure on both side of wafer.
Sony (original BSI CMOS company) infringe Tessera package IP ( USPTO 6885106)
