OPTEX: 3D Image Camera

Optex is based in Otsu, Shiga Prefecture, Japan

Optex introduced the world's first infrared-based automatic door sensor in 1980 and since has become a world leading supplier of infrared-based sensor products for applications in the security, automatic door, factory automation, environment monitoring, and transportation fields. The company's core sensing technology - a fusion of infrared and image processing techniques - provides cost efficient and reliable products that can detect objects and humans with accuracy.

ZC-1000
  • spec: 60 fps
  • 20000 points 3D information
  • less calculation loading
  • can be used in sunlight, darkness....(IR of sun is not pulse signal, filtered by low pass filter)
By Time of Flight (TOF) technique, sensor can get depth signal by comparing the received pulse signal with time clock.
Camera has two parts- emitter and CMOS receiver.
Emitter, radiates pulse IR signal, is at the side of camera.
CMOS image sensor would receive the reflected signal from object.
(Detail TOF technique would be described in next article)

Optex adopt Canesta sensor chip to manufacture 3D image camera product.
