Johnson Chang is the leader of sales team in new office. Edmund expect rapid growth in demand for optical components, especially vision systems and lens.
It took long time that Edmund decided to open office in Taiwan.
Before, there were many distributors to sell Edmund products. But most customers buy small and low cost components,and even some like to shop online for cheaper price.
If Edmund build a service team in Taiwan, this would make their advanced products attractive.

Throughput is a big issue of EUV.
Why?
1.Reflective optics has finite reflectivity about 70% at 16.5nm(EUV wavelength).
2.There are more than 11 reflection surfaces from light source to waver.
So very small light power pump into waver.
One solution is to enhance the reflection of multi-layer coating, and another is to increase the power of light source.
Why?

Sort 1D Array - cluster
Labview有提拱一個Sort 1D array的subvi
這功能想必大家應該都蠻熟悉的
但不知道有沒有想過一種應用:
假如有一個1D array,這資料是由某種計算得到的,這種計算的輸入也正式數量相當的1D input array,或是有關係的另外1D related array
想要從這1D array回頭找出 排序相對應的輸入
Ex: 以熱應用為例: 在(x, y)點上有不同質量(m),量測到溫度(T)
要對T排序,但也要找出最低溫度的(X,Y)以及此位置的質量m
這時候該怎麼辦呢??

[轉錄]有時候你得勇敢地跟老闆說實話
以下要講的是一個歷史上的失敗工程經驗,可提供現今的電子產業界做為借鏡。
在競爭日益激烈的市場上,某家公司因為推出了幾個失敗產品、引發外界對其能力的質疑,該公司老闆在沉重競爭壓力下,強迫手下的開發團隊設計出能令人耳目一新的東西,而且這個計劃中的新產品,得展現公司老闆與企業本身的能力與地位。
這家公司曾經推出過表現優異的類似產品,但是新設計擁有重要的新特性,又沒有分析模型能預測其性能;該公司旗下的設計師也是業界頂尖的,設計師本人卻對這個工作非常緊張,這超越了他先前的經驗,也沒有時間讓他慢慢摸索,老闆要怎樣就得怎樣做。
在產品設計中途,原始設計師退出了;該公司管理高層一直在改變產品規格,並要求加入更多能「驚艷世界」的新功能。該產品後來是完成了,但進行秘密測試後,測試經理不得不暫停測試以及第一批樣品的製作,以免導致災難性的失敗。
幸好,那個很強勢的公司老闆剛好不在、也無法聯絡上;其實也根本沒人有勇氣告訴他新產品開發失敗,他們希望那只是個意外。於是,該產品繼續走向量產、甚至到了如火如荼的地步,公司還舉辦了盛大發表會,宣告新誕生的旗艦產品不但是最先進的,也無疑將展現公司的領導地位。
但恐怖的災難就此發生,該產品運作還不到一小時就自我毀滅,還讓許多寶貴生命在朋友、家人與競爭者眼前喪失;而那個還是不在家的老闆,對這件事的回應是:「輕率與疏忽的態度必然是最大的因素,而那些有罪的人必須受到懲罰!」
